3 Ways to Give This Christmas
1. Adopt a mom, child, or family
- Donate directly to Acres and we will purchase the gifts for the mom, child or family on your behalf, or….
- Sign up to purchase gifts directly form an Amazon wish list
- We will match you with a mom, child, or family based on your budget
- You will be set a wish list and individual’s code
- You order the gifts which are shipped directly to the Acres office. Please include the code for the individual(s) adopted
- All donated gifts should be sent unwrapped so moms can warp their children’s gifts (we will coordinate with volunteers to warp mom gifts)
10+ years old wish list is budgeted at $175
9 years old or younger: wish list is budgeted at $125
HOW TO ADOPT: If you would like to adopt a mom, child or family please:
- Email christmas@acresofdiamonds.org, with “Adopt-a-family” in the subject line, and include:
- Your Name
- Phone number
- Budgeted amount for mom, child, or family
- Are you wishing to purchase gifts from a wish list, or will you donate, and Acres will purchase on your behalf?
2. Coordinated Christmas Needs
- Stocking Stuffers: Small items that mom can put in a stocking for her kiddos (small Lego kits, socks, hair jewelry, etc.)
- Special Activity Supplies: Christmas crafts, cookies to decorate, gingerbread houses, etc.)
- Anything needing special coordination around sizes, or is a request for a coordinated event – contact us at christmas@acresofdiamonds.org
- Please contact christmas@acresofdiamonds.org with your name, phone number and a description of what you would like to provide before November 17th.
3. Other Christmas Needs – Donate anytime!
- Gift Cards: We welcome donations of gift cards—especially from Target, Amazon, Visa, and gas stations—as they provide meaningful support to moms who are new to the Acres program and often still seeking employment. Gift cards are used throughout the year to help families celebrate birthdays and other special moments.
- Family experiences: Please consider purchasing gift cards to Woodland Park Zoo (E-gift cards can be delivered to christmas@acresofdiamonds.org)
- Christmas Flair: You can also support families by donating Christmas decorations such as wreaths, poinsettias, exterior lights and decorations (NOTE – we hope to wrap up decorating by December 1st)
