Rescue Home Project

News reports tell us that the homelessness crisis in our area continues to grow. At Acres of Diamonds, we know about this problem firsthand. Every month we turn away at-risk homeless women and children due to lack of space and program capacity.

But we’re working to change that. With help from our friends and supporters, Acres is preparing to build a new Rescue Home on our Duvall campus. This 16,000-square-foot dormitory-style building — Phase 1 of our master expansion plan — will accommodate 15 more families plus a daycare center, classroom space, and administrative offices.  When our master plan is complete, we will more than double our current capacity, enabling 32 families to be safe at Acres at any given time.

We anticipate breaking ground on the Rescue Home in late spring. We’ll keep you posted on the construction progress … and how you can help us get this new home ready for the women and children who will move in.

If you have questions about the Rescue Home project, please contact Acres Executive Director Jen Paddock.
